henning-von-stechowHenning joined Raiffeisen Investment in September 2006 to head its activities in the Energy/Utilities from Sal. Oppenheim, Germany. In the past few years Henning has closed a large number of sell side and buy-side M&A deals and privatizations in various sectors such as power, gas, heat, water, waste, oil and real estate with transaction volumes up to EUR 2 billion. Furthermore he has structured and closed complex deals in the water sector, for example for the City of Dresden and many successful transactions under EU-tender legislation. Recently he advised the Federal Republic of Germany on the sale of one of the largest European underground oil and gas storage facilities as well as a successful bidder in a RWE disposal process and the owner of a regional distribution company. He also has experience in the renewables sector (e.g. biomass), environmental services (e.g. recycling), and energy services (e.g. contracting).

Henning studied law in Bonn, Lausanne and Munich, where he graduated in 1996. He received an Assessor from the Land of Berlin and a Ph.D. from the University of Bayreuth.
