Richard joined Raiffeisen Investment in March 2008 to head the Chemicals and Industrials Team. He comes to RIAG with more than 15 years of experience in M&A in CEE and SEE.

His history in the Region began in 1991 when he set up Bankers Trust's office in Budapest. In 1992 he moved to Creditanstalt Investment Bank, and, built up their corporate finance business in Warsaw in the years 1994 to1999. During the past 7 years he has had reponsibility for Commerzbank's M&A business in the Region. His transaction experience in the Region includes deals for major local clients such as the Hungarian and Polish State Privatization Agencies across a host of industries, including chemicals and industials, food and beverages, and financials, and corporate players such as RAO UES X5 Alfa Group, and DEVS. On the buy side, his clients have included such names as SAB, Vin & Sprit, Rauch Fruchtsäfte, Heidelberger Cement, Lhoist, Mondi-Frantschach, Mayr-Melnhof, Eon-edis, Telia, Siemens, Abertis, and First Data. He began his bank career with the Frankfurt Branch of Continental Illinois in the 1980's.

Richard received his Bachelor of Arts form Lafayette College (Pennsylvania), where he gratuated Magna Cum Laude, and his Masters from Columbia University's School of International Affairs, where he was a member of the International Fellows Programme.
