Paul joined Raiffeisen Investment in 1999. He has concentrated on privatisation and M&A projects in the heavy industry sector. In 2003 Paul became head of the sector team "Heavy Industry" and has advised industry majors such as Mittal Steel, Severstal, Celsa, voestalpine, IUD, SCM and Governments on major steel transactions.

Until 1999 he was employed at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) where he was involved in the implementation of both industrial sector programmes as well as of privatisation projects.

Paul graduated at the University of Vienna (M.Sc. Law). He took further courses at the University of Athens and at the University of Aix en Provence.
