Stefan joined Raiffeisen Investment in 2002 to head and expand the Austrian Corporate Finance franchise. As a result, a growing amount of Austria´s leading corporations have retained the services of the Austrian Corporate Finance team to guide them through acquisitions and investments.

Before his return to Austria, Stefan spent several years in the U.S and in the U.K. working for both investment banking and private equity firms. In the U.S. he worked for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein's general M&A group, before moving to the investment bank WestLB Panmure where he focused on M&A and capital markets transactions in the Telecoms, Media and Technology Sector. After that, he spent 2 years as Associate Director at GE Capital, structuring private equity transactions in the Infrastructure and Telecoms sector all across Europe.

Stefan started his career at Deloitte in the corporate finance and tax divisions after getting a Masters Degree in Business Adminstration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. He also holds a post-graduate degree in International Economics and Politics from Johns Hopkins University (Washington, D.C.) and is co-author of an upcoming book on Mergers and Aquisitions.
