The deal, which was closed in August 2008, is Heineken’s second acquisition in Belarus after acquiring Syabar brewing company in 2007. The acquisition of Rechitsapivo is in line with Heineken’s strategy to establish itself as a leading player in the Belarusian beer market and strengthens its number two position in the fast growing Belarus market giving the company a market share of 24%.
