Raiffeisen Investment acted as buy-side adviser to Raiffeisen Bausparkasse GmbH in acquiring 100% of the shares of Hypo Stavebni Sporitelna A.S. (Hypo). Raiffeisen bought Hypo from the Italian banking group Unicredit. Hypo had client deposits worth EUR 1.01bn in 2006 and a net profit of EUR 4.8m. It had 402,000 savings contracts at the end of 2006 and arranged loans worth EUR 113m.
